Metro Manila Tourist Spot

When in Manila, you should visit the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center. The underrated Metro Manila tourist spot has quaint spots, scenic areas, and lovely details to lure many travel enthusiasts. This writer has only been there twice. But, I loved my second visit.

Due to the COVID pandemic, many recreational areas were closed for many months. The park is one of those. The Wildlife Center is slowly opening its doors to guests, starting with private photo and video ops. You may contact their Information Office if you wish to go there. Guests must reserve, follow the safety measures, and pay the entrance fee to get in.

The Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). It stands on 23.85 hectares of land and thousands of trees. It’s also home to more than 30 animal species.

Now that the park is slowly reopening, we city dwellers can look forward to visiting this urban jungle soon. Here’s how you can enjoy your day at the park.

Start Your Day Early

Rise and shine dears! COVID-19 is here to stay. Yet, we grow healthier every day. We’re building our immunity and slowly getting back to our daily routines. Once approved, you can enjoy the park by getting there the earliest possible.

Walking is good for the heart. You can also get Vitamin D from the sun. And, walking+sun= happiness. Always.

Visit this Metro Manila Tourist Spot with a Loved One

I love my ‘alone time’. But, I’m at my happiest when I’m with my family. As I’ve said, I’ve been to this Metro Manila tourist spot twice. And I went there twice with my sister. It’s nice to go on those lovely walks, seeing greenery with someone who is passionate about the same thing. One of the best parts of my last visit was the chance to experience silence despite being in the Metro.

Go During a Plant Festival

Hello Plantitos and Plantitas! I was able to snag some cute plants when I went there. I got my Agave from that festival. And that Agave gave us a lot of babies! Aside from plants, you can also buy other gardening supplies like pots when you come during a plant festival.

No Great Expectations

Okay, I love the place. It’s an attractive tourist spot here in Metro Manila. But, if you’re expecting this to be a lavish park with roses and hydrangeas, then you’re eyeing the wrong place. It’s a nice place with lots of quiets spots. But, most of the floras here are in green hues. There aren’t many flowering plants. However, the scenic surroundings are more than enough to calm the mind. I guarantee that.

My Takeaways

Going here would be a bit different from before. That said, you must follow protocol when you go. Always wear your face masks, and shields. Don’t forget to bring alcohol. And, eat a hearty breakfast because the center still prohibits bringing of foods inside.

Enjoy your day at this Metro Manila tourist spot.
